Thaman on board for Shankar-Ram Charan film, RC 15

Ace music director SS Thaman has joined director Shankar's upcoming film, which is tentatively called RC 15. A political thriller, the film features Ram Charan in the lead role.

Interestingly, Thaman has forayed into cinema as an actor with Shankar's Boys (2003) and this film marks his first collaboration with the Robot-director as the music composer.

The music sessions began earlier today, and a team of 135 musicians is said to have mesmerized Shankar and Ram Charan during the first recording of the film.

A delighted Thaman goes down memory lane and took to Twitter to share his happiness on being associated with RC 15. The Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo composer has also described Shankar as a wonderful human, who carries incredible energy and aura behind him.

“It’s from the Year 2000 till 2021 I have been witnessing @shankarshanmugh Sir the way he thinks Imagine the Science & life beyond Cinema I am still seeing the same energy and the aura behind this wonderful human. Happy to be part of the TEAM for #RC15 as #Composer (sic),” tweeted Thaman.

About collaborating with Ram Charan, Thaman wrote, "After #Nayak & #BruceLee its time to show my love to our #MegaPowerStar @AlwaysRamCharan gaaru he is the person filled with a great heart, and showers love every time with superior energy. Such a lovely gentleman and a brother, love you brother. Will work to my best."

Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish, RC 15 is rumoured to have Kiara Advani as the leading lady. The film is likely to go on floors in August and it is slated to release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi in 2022.
