Akshay Kumar-starrer Bell Bottom to release on Amazon Prime Video?

The makers of Bell Bottom recently met with Amazon Prime Video to explore a digital premiere for the film, reports claim. The Akshay Kumar-starrer was expected to be released in theatres on April 2. However, given the present situation and Akshay’s Sooryavanshi likely to arrive around the same time, the producers are now planning a digital release for Bell Bottom

It’s being claimed that the makers are in the process of finalising a deal with Amazon Prime Video. If true, this will be the second Akshay Kumar film to premiere on OTT during the pandemic. Earlier, the actor’s horror comedy film, Laxmmi Bomb, was released on Disney+ Hotstar during the pandemic.

Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in the 60s. It was the first Indian film to be shot internationally after the lockdown. Besides Akshay, the cast also features Lara Dutt, Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.
