Salman Khan has confirmed his commitment to release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai in theatres.

Earlier this month, 17 cinema associations had written to the actor to release his upcoming film in theatres, hoping it would help revive the movie business in India.

Responding to their letter, Salman has now stated that he understands the financial hardships faced by cinema owners. Thus, he has decided to release Radhe in theatres on Eid 2021.

“Sorry, it has taken me a long time to revert to all the theatre owners... It’s a big decision to make during these times. I understand the financial problems that the theatre owners/exhibitors are going through and I would like to help them by releasing Radhe in theatres,” Salman wrote in a statement.

In return, he expects exhibitors to ensure all safety protocols are followed, he added. “...I would expect them to take utmost amount of care and precautions for the audience who would come to the theatre to watch Radhe. The commitment was for Eid and it will be Eid 2021 inshallah. Enjoy Radhe this year in theatres on Eid.. God willing.”

Radhe is a follow-up to 2009’s Wanted. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film is a remake of the 2015 South Korean film Veteran. Besides Salman, the cast also features Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff.
