Kunchacko Boban has announced that he will be teaming up with director Mahesh Narayanan again for a film titled Ariyippu.

Interestingly, Kunchacko will also be co-producing it jointly with Mahesh and producer Shebin Backer. Shebin is known for backing films such as Charlie, Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, and Take Off.  Kunchacko had also appeared in Take Off.

Sharing this news, Kunchacko added that filming would "commence by June/July 2021 at Ernakulam, with the best of the technicians in the industry."

The rest of the cast and crew will be revealed next month.

Aside from Ariyippu, Kunchacko has an exciting lineup of films, which includes Nizhal (with Nayanthara), Nayaattu (with Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan), and Ottu (with Arvind Swami). He is also leading the Anjaam Pathira sequel, Aaraam Pathira; Aashiq Abu's Neelavelicham; and Ashraf Hamza's Bheemante Vazhi.

Mahesh is currently busy with the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Malayan Kunju, for which the former wrote the script. The CU Soon director is also cranking the camera for the film helmed by debutant Sajimon Prabhakaran.

Meanwhile, Shebin Backer is also producing Thaneer Mathan Dinangal director Girish AD's second feature, Super Sharanya, starring Arjun Ashokan and Anaswara Rajan. The team has 15 more days of shoot remaining.
