Buchi Babu Sana, Jr NTR to team up

The Uppena director has bagged the opportunity to direct NTR in a new film, say reports

Director Buchi Babu Sana, who made a promising debut with the poignant love story, Uppena, will soon collaborate with Jr NTR for a new film, say reports.

Mythri Movie Makers, which earlier bankrolled NTR's Janata Garage, is set to produce this film on an extravagant scale. While speculations are rife that the film is a period sports drama set in the backdrop of Visakhapatnam, the plot details are being kept under the wraps by the makers.

"Buchi Babu has pitched the storyline to NTR and intrigued by it, the actor has asked the director to develop it further," says a source close to the development.

The film is expected to go on floors either in summer or soon after NTR wraps up his next with Trivikram Srinivas. "NTR might have plans to shoot both the films simultaneously or will start Buchi Babu's film after completing Trivikram's project. A clear picture will emerge in the coming days," the source adds.

Meanwhile, NTR will next be seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR. Buchi Babu, on the other hand, is also working on the script of his third film, which is also produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
