Bollywood actor Sandeep Nahar died in Mumbai on Monday, hours after posting a suicide note and video on Facebook.
Sandeep, who has appeared in films like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) and Kesari (2018), was found hanging at his residence in Goregaon in Mumbai. He was taken to Goregaon’s SRV hospital where he was declared brought dead, reports state.
“Actor Sandeep Nahar dies allegedly by suicide at his residence in Mumbai's Goregaon area. Case lodged, matter being probed," ANI quoted the Mumbai Police as saying.
In his post, Sandeep opened up about his fraught mental state. He spoke about his wife harassing him with arguments. The actor said he had considered suicide earlier but wanted things to change in his life. He also spoke about ‘politics’ in Bollywood and how he was replaced from projects. Sandeep, however, said no one from his family should be held responsible for his death.
Last year, Sandeep’s co-star Sushant Singh Rajput had died by suicide in Mumbai. Sandeep had played the role of Sushant’s friend Param in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. He also appeared as one of the Sikh soldiers in Kesari, starring Akshay Kumar.
