Martin Scorsese's upcoming Apple Original film Killers of the Flower Moon has roped in actor Brendan Fraser to its cast.

Based on David Grann's 2017 bestseller, and scripted to screen by Eric Roth, Killers of the Flower Moon is headlined by Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, and also stars Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, Gary Basaraba, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Louis Cancelmi, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbott Jr, Pat Healy, Scott Shepherd and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriters Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson.

The film is set in 1920s Oklahoma, and centres on the Osage Nation murders, in which members of the Native American tribe were murdered one by one after the group became rich off the oil found underneath their land. As the death toll rose, the newly created FBI took up the case to uncover a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes in US history.

Fraser will reportedly play the role of lawyer WS Hamilton.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that Fraser has also been cast in the comedy film Brothers, and is set to star alongside Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin and Glenn Close. Brothers is written by Macon Blair and Etan Cohen, and is set to be directed by Palm Springs helmer Max Barkabow.

Fraser was last seen in No Sudden Move, and will soon be seen in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale. He currently stars as Cliff Steele in HBO Max’s Doom Patrol. Fraser is known for film and TV titles like Condor, Texas Rising, Crash, and The Mummy film franchise.
