Malayalam film star Mammootty mourned the death of actor and comedian Vivekh, who passed away early this morning in Chennai. The actor took to Twitter to share his sadness and wrote, "RIP Vivek! The one person who made us laugh his entire career, your loss is truly breaking our hearts."

Mammootty and Vivekh shared screen space in the 1998 Tamil film Maru Malarchi, directed by Bharathi, and it won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film that year.

Vivekh, who has over 300 films to his credit, was admitted to the hospital on Friday following a cardiac arrest, where he passed away due to complications. The comedian's death has shaken the Tamil film fraternity and fans alike, and condolence messages and tributes have been pouring in ever since the news broke.
