Production banner Pooja Entertainment has responded to rumours of Akshay Kumar-starrer Bellbottom heading for a digital release. Recent reports claimed the makers have initiated talks with Disney+ Hotstar for an exclusive digital premiere. The same reports pegged the deal in the vicinity of Rs. 150 crores.
Refuting the buzz, the banner said in a statement, “Pooja Entertainment would like to squash all speculation in some sections of the media regarding the release of our upcoming Bellbottom. Any announcement regarding the impending release will be made by Pooja Entertainment at an opportune time.”
The company said that no one other than them is mandated to make statements about the film’s development.
Bellbottom is a spy thriller set in the ‘80s. The film also stars Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor.
