The series adaptation of I Know What You Did Last Summer, which was announced in 2019, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video this October, the streaming giant officially announced. An adaptation of Lois Duncan's 1973 novel, which has also inspired a slasher film by the same name in 1997, the series will consist of eight episodes. The 1997 film also had two sequels, which were released in 1998 and 2006, respectively.

The series, starring madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, and Bill Heck, entered production in January this year. The official synopsis reads, "In a town full of secrets, a group of teenagers are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night."

Sara Goodman is helming the adaption, with Craig Macneill directing the first episode. Macneill and Goodman will also be serving as executive producers in association with Original Film and Atomic Monster.
