Tovino Thomas, Aishwarya Lekshmi reteam for Uyare director's next, Kaanekkaane

Director Manu Ashokan is teaming up with Uyare's writing duo Bobby-Sanjay again for this project

Uyare director Manu Ashokan is teaming up again with its writing duo Bobby-Sanjay for his second directorial feature, titled Kaanekkaane (As you watch). A stellar group of actors including Tovino Thomas, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shruti Ramachandran, Prem Prakash, and Rony David Raj are headlining the film.

Sharing the news, Manu said, "Uyare was about Pallavi's survival and in a way mine too. But today, we all are on the path of survival. When the Covid-19 trapped all of us in lockdown, there was a sense of uncertainty over the next project. That's when producer TR Shamsudheen (of DreamKatcher) came up with an idea. I was initially doubtful about doing it as it was difficult for everyone to sit together in a single place for a discussion. But he was relentless, and we managed to complete the full screenplay through several discussions over conference calls."

The film is said to be relatively more performance-driven than Uyare. Alby Antony will helm the camera, and Abhilash Balachandran will be editing it. Ranjin Raj will compose the music to Vinayak Sasikumar's lyrics.
