Aishwarya Lekshmi to headline Archana 31 Not Out

The film is expected to be a quirky entertainer

Published: 06th September 2020

Aishwarya Lekshmi will be taking on a solo lead role in a new feature written and directed by Akhil Anilkumar. Titled Archana 31 Not Out, the film is expected to be a quirky entertainer.

Akhil is notable for directing the popular short film Devika +2 Biology.

Charlie director Martin Prakkat is producing the upcoming film with Siby Chavara and Renjith Nair as co-producers. Prakkat has earlier produced the female-centric Manju Warrier-starrer Udaharanam Sujatha.

Sharing the first-look poster, Aishwarya wrote that she was elated to be working with the best producers in the business. "My next in Malayalam and first as a solo lead, with a brilliant crew I cannot be thankful enough for. Directed by the quirkiest Akhil Anilkumar! Congratulations on your first feature film, hope we make our film just as you envisioned. Excited to be Archana. Waited too long for this first."

Besides Archana 31 Not Out, Aishwarya is also part of Karthik Subbaraj's Tamil film Jagame Thanthiram opposite Dhanush; Malayalam film Bismi Special, with Nivin Pauly; and Mani Ratnam's epic Ponniyin Selvan.
