Actor Rajinikanth today hinted at reconsidering his decision to join politics and said he would announce his final call at the 'right time'. Even though he clarified that the viral letter, which has triggered speculation that he is quitting politics, is not written by him, he has agreed that the information on his health is true.  "Everyone knows that the letter isn't from me. But, the information on my health and my doctors' advice is true," said Rajinikanth in his statement on Twitter.

Regarding his political stand, he stated, "I will discuss this with the members of Rajini Makkal Mandram and announce my political stand to the people."

Rajinikanth's statement, coming just months before the Tamil Nadu election, which was expected to be his party's first poll, has left his fans and followers worried.

Rumours over Rajinikanth's entry into politics emerged after a letter started circulating stating that the coronavirus pandemic had hit the actor's political plans.

It may be noted that Rajinikanth clarified in March that he would not be the Chief Minister candidate of his party.
