Rajamouli's RRR team releases surprise teaser on Ram Charan's birthday

After much suspense surrounding the back to back tweets by S S Rajamouli's RRR team, a video showing a gist of what awaits of Ram Charan's performance in the upcoming film was released as a digital gift for the mega powerstar on his birthday today. "As promised, I give you @AlwaysRamCharan Happy birthday brother! Will cherish our bond forever," tweeted NTR.

The video was simultaneously released in five languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The Bheem for Ramaraju -RRR teaser shows a fierce Ram Charan training for battle. The 73-second video begins with a voice-over from NTR as he introduces Ram Charan, who plays Alluri Seetharama Raju in the period actioner. Watch the video here,

It was earlier announced that the title RRR stands for Roudram Ranam Rudhiram in the Telugu version, Rise Roar Revolt in Hindi, and Ratham Ranam Rowthiram in Tamil. Set in 1920s pre-independent India, the film's core story straddles the lives of younger versions of the Telugu States' revolutionary freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by NTR.

The film also has Alia Bhatt, Hollywood actor Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn and Samuthirakani in prominent roles. Produced by DVV Danayya, RRR is slated for release on January 8 in 10 languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English.
