As Dhanush-starrer Jagame Thandhiram gets set for release on May 1, the actor shared a new poster on social media and confirmed that his character's name in the film will be Suruli.

Initial speculation was that the film would be titled Suruli. However, the film's title was later announced as Jagame Thandhiram along with a motion poster, which also features Joju George, James Cosmo, Kalaiyarasan, and others enjoying a feast.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sashikanth’s Y Not Studios, the film is currently in post-production in London. The makers announced that promotions will begin from the last week of March. The music of Jagame Thandhiram is by Santhosh Narayanan, while cinematography is handled by Shreyaas Krishna.

Meanwhile, Dhanush recently completed shooting the second schedule for Karnan and has begun shooting for his third Hindi film, Atrangi Re, directed by Aanand L Rai, and co-starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan.
