Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara went on floors on this day two years ago. An adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars, the upcoming film is directed by Mukesh Chhabra and also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi. Set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24, the posthumous release will be Sushant’s final film. The actor died by sucide at his Mumbai home in June. He was 34.

“Life, indeed, is seri-real,” Sanjana shared on social media, sharing pictures from the film’s shoot. “2 years ago, July 9th 2018, was the first day of Sushant and Sanjana, becoming Manny and Kizie in front of the camera, on set in Jamshedpur. My life since that day, has never been the same for a second. Kizie & Manny truly believed there never will be a greater love than their's, but the love all of you, all over the world have shown us? It really does come close. It feels like a long, warm embrace.”

Sanjana and Sushant essay the characters Kizie Basu and Emmanuel/Manny in Dil Bechara. The film follows two cancer patients who meet and fall in love. When Kizzie’s health deteriorates, Manny helps fulfill her last wish of visiting Paris.

“9th July, today we complete exactly 2 years from when we started shoot in Jamshedpur ! Sab badal gaya,” Mukesh Chhabra tweeted.
