Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has been declared tax-free in Maharashtra till April 30. The decision came after government officials, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, saw the film in a special screening. The Om Raut-directorial has also been made tax-free in other states, including Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Released on January 10, Tanhaji is a period actioner based on the life of Subedar Tanhaji Malusare, a commander in Chhatrapati Shivaji’s army. The film, which also stars Saif Ali Khan, recounts the historic night-time raid by Tanaji and his troops on Fort Kondana. The action-adventure film has earned more than Rs. 190 crore at the box-office, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2020 so far.

Earlier this week, the actor had also screened the film for the three military chiefs (Navy, Army, and Airforce) of India.
