Puneeth Rajkumar-Chethan Kumar's James to go on floors on January 19

James brings together Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar and director Chethan Kumar. The commercial action-entertainer, which has created hype right from the pre-production stage, will go floors on January 19. According to a source, the team will start the first schedule in Bengaluru.

Produced by Kishore Pathikonda, James will be the first collaboration between Puneeth and Chethan. The makers have so far only confirmed that music director Charan Raj is on board. It is also being said that they are on the verge of finalising cinematographer Shreesha Kuduvalli. Shreesha has previously worked with director Chethan Kumar in Bahaddhur and Bharjari. “Except for the lead actor, the rest of the star cast is yet to get finalised,” the source adds.

Meanwhile, Puneeth Rajkumar’s next, Yuvathanaa, directed by Santhosh Ananddram, is in the final stages of filming. The shooting of a song sequence is planned from Wednesday. The film, which brings the actor-director duo together again after the blockbuster hit, Raajakumara, will see Sayyeshaa play Puneeth’s romantic interest. Besides them, the Hombale Films production also stars a host of actors, including Dhananjay, Diganth, Sonu Gowda, and Prakash Raj.

Both Yuvarathnaa and James are expected to be released this year.
