Dwayne Johnson starts prepping for Black Adam
The film, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, will hit screens on December 22, 2021
Dwayne Johnson has started prepping for his first DC film, Black Adam. The film will be a spin-off of the Zachary Levi-starrer Shazaam! which was produced by Warner Bros and New Line Cinema.
Johnson, who was speculated to play the role for almost a decade before the announcement, took to Instagram to share the news along with pictures from his training session. He also shared an animation clipping by Australian artist BossLogic aka Kode, which foreshadows the look he will be sporting in the film.
So it begins. Kickin’ off 2020 training extremely hard for my upcoming role as BLACK ADAM. This one’s in my blood. Thanks to my guys @bosslogic @veliokulan for this bad ass animation. The hierarchy of power in the #DCUniverse is about to change. #NewEra #BlackAdam⚡️ Shooting begins this summer.
