Vijay's Thalapathy 65 a big-budget movie to be produced by Sun Pictures?

With Master, Vijay's 64th film with Kaithi-fame Lokesh Kanagaraj, in its last leg of shoot, several reports have surfaced regarding the actor's next, tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 65. The internet is abuzz with rumours that the film, which will be a big-budget production, will most likely be bankrolled by Sun Pictures,

While names like Shankar, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Arun Raja Kamaraj are making the rounds regarding the choice of the director, some sources suggest that AR Murugadoss is the front runner to helm Thalapathy 65. The filmmaker, who has earlier worked with Vijay in Thuppaakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar, is said to have recently pitched a Hollywood-style action thriller to the Bigil actor. Also, a few rumours suggest that the film might be titled Thuppaakki 2.

Reports are also rife that PVR Cinemas might be the film's multiplex partner, as the operator had tweeted mentioning Thalapathy 65, with a fire smiley, earlier today.

With Master, also starring Vijay Sethupthi and Malavika Mohanan, slated for release in April, Thalapathy 65's launch is expected to happen in May/June.
