Published: 24th February 2020

We had already reported that Dhanush is collaborating with Mari Selvaraj for Karnan. The crew has now wrapped up the second schedule in Tirunelveli, completing almost 90 per cent of the shoot for the film. Dhanush took to Twitter to make the announcement, also sharing a picture of him from the sets. Interestingly, he is wearing a t-shirt that says ‘Thalapathy’ (the 1991 Rajinikanth-Mani Ratnam film) on it, holding a horse’s reins in hand.

Apart from Dhanush, Karnan will also star Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Natty, Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Yogi Babu and Gouri Kishen in key roles. The film will mark Rajisha’s debut in Tamil.  While Theni Easwar is in charge of Karnan's cinematography, the music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

Last seen in Pattas, Dhanush also has Karthik Subbaraj’s Jagame Thanthiram, Karthick Narein’s D43, Anand L Rai’s Atrangi Re and a film with Ratsasan director Ram Kumar in the pipeline.
