At last, the title and the first look of Dhanush's upcoming film have arrived, and how! Karthik Subbaraj seems to have brought his A-game for the film, which has been officially titled Jagame Thanthiram.

The motion poster of the gangster drama, which was released earlier today, features a veshti-clad Dhanush armed with a machine gun and pistols. Going by this first look, Karthik Subbaraj appears to have mixed thara local swag and western style in the upcoming film.

Dhanush signed this film with Karthik Subbaraj long ago but due to the busy schedules of the duo, the film went on floors only last year. Also referred to as D40, Jagame Thanthiram is one of the much-anticipated Tamil films of 2020.

Other than Dhanush, the film also stars Sanchana Natarajan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Kalaiyarasan. Hollywood actor James Cosmo, who is best known for his role in the American fantasy series Game Of Thrones, plays the film's antagonist.

Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for Jagame Thanthiram, which is produced by Y Not Studios.
