Pooja Hegde paired opposite Salman Khan in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali

This is Pooja’s first collaboration with Salman

Pooja Hegde will star opposite Salman Khan in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film is set for release on Eid 2021. 

This is Pooja’s first collaboration with Salman. She will be essaying a traditional small-town girl and Salman’s love interest in the film.

“Having worked with Pooja in Housefull 4, we felt she was a perfect fit for this film,” producer Sajid Nadiadwala stated. “She has an amazing screen presence and will make for a good pair with Salman. They will bring freshness to the story.” 

In a tweet, confirming the news, Pooja said, "2020 begins in a big way! I've been dying to share this news with you all. Salman Khan, can’t wait to start working on this one with you. Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment, Farhad Samji...Let's go!"

Pooja, who started her acting career with Mysskin’s Mugamoodi, recently starred in the superhit Telugu film, Ala Vaikunthapurramulo, which had Allu Arjun in the lead. Pooja made her Bollywood debut in Ashutosh Gowarikar and Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro (2016), and followed it up with Housefull 4 (2019), where she was paired opposite Akshay Kumar. 

Outside of Bollywood, Pooja has started shooting for Prabhas’ upcoming film. She is also part of Bhaskar’s Most Eligible Bachelor, alongside Akhil Akkineni.
