Ranbir Kapoor confirms film with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, not doing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra
The actor talked about his upcoming films in a recent interview
Ranbir Kapoor has disclosed his working schedule for the new year. Speaking to Rajeev Masand, Ranbir confirmed that he will begin shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next from January 5. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor. After that, Ranbir said he would probably start shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film.
“The other film which I have signed is Sandeep Vanga's film which will start sometime mid-next year,” the actor revealed in the video interview.
He also clarified he won’t be starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra biopic. Initial reports had claimed that the actor will essay a medieval musician in Bhansali’s next. Calling it a rumour, Ranbir said, “I haven't been offered any film from him (SLB).”
Ranbir has two films set for release in 2021 — Brahmastra and Shamshera. The former, directed by Ayan Mukerji and co-starring Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan, has been delayed since last year. As per reports, the film’s final schedule of 10 days will be shot in Mumbai. It will commence in mid-January once Ranbir wraps up the first schedule of Luv Ranjan’s film.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh was one of the biggest hits of 2019. The director had revealed he is working on a crime drama for his next.
