Irrfan Khan passes away: Bollywood mourns the loss of the acclaimed actor

After battling a bout of illness, Irrfan Khan, acclaimed actor and Padmashri recipient, passed away earlier today. He was 53. 

This news came as a shock to everyone, and many of his colleagues from Bollywood are expressing their condolences on social media. 

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who shared screen space with Irrfan in Shoojit Sircar's Piku, said: 

Shoojit Sircar, a long-time friend of Irrfan, was one of the first people to break the news on social media.

Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to share his grief over the untimely death of Irrfan, his Billu co-star.

 

Irrfan's co-star in Talvar and Deadline, Konkona Sen Sharma, said:

Priyanka Chopra, who starred opposite Irrfan in the Vishal Bhardwaj film, Saat Khoon Maaf, shared her condolences as well.

Manisha Koirala, who worked with Irrfan in the heart-wrenching drama, Tulsi, said:
