After battling a bout of illness, Irrfan Khan, acclaimed actor and Padmashri recipient, passed away earlier today. He was 53.
This news came as a shock to everyone, and many of his colleagues from Bollywood are expressing their condolences on social media.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who shared screen space with Irrfan in Shoojit Sircar's Piku, said:
T 3516 - .. just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan .. this is a most disturbing and sad news ..
An incredible talent .. a gracious colleague .. a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema .. left us too soon .. creating a huge vacuum ..

Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to share his grief over the untimely death of Irrfan, his Billu co-star.
