Rajinikanth requests everyone to strictly follow Janata curfew, explains reason behind PM's call

Rajinikanth released a video urging everyone to strictly follow the Janata curfew on March 22. He said India is in Stage 2 of community transmission and to avoid the virus from advancing to Stage 3, it must be strictly contained from spreading for 12-14 hours. He explained that this was the reason behind Prime Minister Modi's call for curfew.

With a word of caution for Indians, he called for everyone's cooperation and cited how the citizens of Italy failed to cooperate with their government's efforts, resulting in the deaths of many. Rajinikanth thanked the efforts of doctors, nurses and their families and asked everyone to be grateful for their service and appreciate them at 5 pm tomorrow as planned by Prime Minister and pray for their health.
