The makers of Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible 7 are planning to resume the film's shoot from September. The production was earlier suspended amid the coronavirus outbreak.

In a conversation with BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, the film's first assistant director Tommy Gormley said, “We hope to restart in September. We hope to visit all the countries we planned to. We hope to do a big chunk of it back in the UK on the backlot and in the studio.”

Production of Tom Cruise's action spy adventure involves a huge crew and shoot at multiple locations. Cruise was about to start filming in Venice, Italy when Paramount studio suspended the shoot in late February.

Delayed by the impact of ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Mission: Impossible 7, which was originally slated for release on July 23, 2021, will now open four months later on November 19, 2021. Similarly, Mission: Impossible 8, which was set for August 5, 2022, will instead hit the screens on November 4, 2022.
