Emmy nominations 2020: HBO's Watchmen leads the list with 26 nods, Netflix sets new record

The nominations for the Emmy Awards 2020 has been unveiled. Netflix has set a new record with 160 nominations. Last year, HBO was leading the list with 137 nominations. However, this year, HBO has 107 nominations.

HBO’s Watchmen has the highest number of nominations at 26 and this is followed by Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at 20. Netflix’s Ozark and HBO’s Succession have 18 nominations each.

The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be held in two parts this year on September 12 and 13, followed by the main event on  September 20. The event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Some of the platforms that will stream the event live in India on September 21 at 5.30 am are Disney+ Hotstar and Star World.
