With almost all the film festivals across the globe postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and organisers looking at digital platforms as an alternative, YouTube seems to have risen to the occasion by coming up with a virtual film festival called We Are One: A Global Film Festival.
The upcoming event is organised by YouTube’s Tribeca Enterprise.
According to reports, the 10-day film festival will start on May 29 and will feature content curated from 20 international film festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, and Toronto.
There will be no ads during the streaming of the content, which will include shorts, feature films, documentaries, and panel discussions.
The festival is completely free for everyone. However, people can donate funds for the fight against the pandemic.
