Daniel Balaji, Sonia Agarwal team up for Godman

Titled Godman, the Zee 5 series will apparently be a crime thriller revolving around religion and politics

Daniel Balaji, who was last seen in Gangs of Madras, will be making his digital debut soon. Titled Godman, the series will be directed by Babu Yogeshwaran, who earlier helmed Jayam Ravi’s Daas and is currently directing Vijay Antony’s Tamizharasan.

According to a source in the know, the series will be a crime thriller revolving around religion and politics. Apart from Daniel Balaji, Godman will also star Sonia Agarwal and Jeyaprakash.

With cinematography by Lakshmanan, the shooting of Godman is expected to begin within a week. The crew will shoot in places such as Tenkasi, Munnar, and the Himalayas. Produced by Ilango Raghupathy, the series will premiere on Zee 5.  

Daniel Balaji will also be seen in Dhanush and Vetri Maaran’s Asuran, and the upcoming Vijay-Atlee film, Bigil.
