The audio launch of the Dhruv Vikram-starrer Adithya Varma was held at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai, earlier today. The cast and the crew of the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, along with Dhruv's father, Vikram, were in attendance at the event.
Director Gireesaaya, who has worked as an assistant director in numerous Telugu films, including Arjun Reddy, makes his debut with Adithya Varma. He praised his lead actor, who makes his debut with this film. "As a debut director, I could not have asked for a better actor. Dhruv was exceptional. I also have to thank Vikram sir for the opportunity," he said.
The man of the hour, sound-engineer turned-music director, Radhan thanked Vikram for giving this opportunity. "After Arjun Reddy, I was rudderless and that's when Vikram sir called me with this project. I'm grateful to him for his faith in me. Dhruv has sung for the film. In addition to being a great actor, he has great musical sensibility," he added.
Following the screening of a song that featured Priya Anand with Dhruv, the former took the stage and talked about how she enjoyed the experience of acting with the debutant. "He's a trained actor from New York. It's going to be interesting to see his choices of films going forward."
Banita Sandhu, who stars opposite Dhruv, hails from London. The October-actor, who makes her Tamil debut with this film, expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew.
Dhruv Vikram took the stage next and talked about how his relatives, friends, and the crew motivated him to pull off the role. "I want to thank the producer, Mukesh, for believing in me after watching just one Dubsmash video of mine. Special thanks to my father for directing me from the standpoint of a father. Adithya Varma was in the best hands possible from day one."
Following an emotional speech by the lead actor, it was time for the chief guest Vikram to take the stage. "I can't speak as emotionally as he did," the star declared right off the top. "I have never felt tense, not when my 12th board results came out, not even during Sethu's release. But today, I feel very tense," he admitted.
After thanking the crew, Vikram made a special mention of Sivakarthikeyan, who has written a song for Adithya Varma. "A big thank you to Sivakarthikeyan for writing this song in just a few hours," he said.
The event ended on a high with Vikram and Dhruv singing a few lines for the fans.
