It's a wrap for Rajinikanth's Darbar

Nayanthara plays the female lead in this AR Murugadoss-directorial, which is scheduled for release on January 9

Rajinikanth's upcoming film with AR Murugadoss, Darbar, has been wrapped up. The team had been shooting for the past few months in Mumbai and Jaipur, and it's now known that the filming is complete.

Nayanthara, who has previously worked with Rajini in Chandramukhi and Kuselan, plays the female lead in Rajinikanth's 167th film. Several Bollywood actors are also part cast of Darbar, including Pradeep Kabra, Prateik Babbar, Dalip Tahil, and Jatin Sarna. Apart from them, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu are also a part of the film. 

The Mumbai-set film, featuring Rajini in the role of a cop after 25 years, has music by  Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Santosh Sivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad. 

Darbar, bankrolled by Lyca Productions, is scheduled for release on January 9.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Karthick Subbaraj’s Petta, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Simran.
