Shivarajkumar and Bhavana to collaborate again for My Name is Anji

My Name is Anji brings together a few hit combinations. It brings back the Shivarajkumar and director Harsha combination for the third time, and will be the fourth project for the actor and the production house, Jayanna Combines. The makers are also planning to get the Tagaru hit pair -- the Century star and Bhavana -- together on screen again. 

Cinema Express has learnt that the team is looking to finalise the heroine for the film which will go on floors in June. Though a few names were doing the rounds, Bhavana was the one they felt would fit into the character, and so they want to get her on board. However, an official announcement on this will be made by the production house at the right time.

Bhavana, who started off in Kannada cinema with Suri’s Jackie, is now an established name in the industry. She currently has the Prajwal Devaraj-starrer Inspector Vikram and Pretham Gubbi’s 99, starring Ganesh, in the pipeline. My Name is Anji will be the actor's next film in Kannada and her second collaboration with Shivarajkumar. Meanwhile, the latter, who has Kavacha coming up for release, has completed shooting for stuntmaster Ravi Varma’s debut directorial, Rustum and Pramod Chakravarthy’s Drona. He is currently shooting for P Vasu’s film, tentatively titled Anand.
