Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next Inshallah

Touted to be a love story, the film will be co-produced by Salman Khan Films and Bhansali Productions

Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan will be teaming up for the first time in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming directorial, Inshallah, the makers announced today. This romantic film marks Alia’s first collaboration with the Padmaavat director. Salman and SLB have previously worked together on Khamoshi: The Musical, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya.

Alia took to Twitter to express her delight at being part of the project:

I was 9 when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait.

Excited to reunite with the director in a lead role, Salman wrote:
