PM Narendra Modi to be released on April 12

Omung Kumar's biopic, starring Vivek Oberoi, will hit theatres next month, a day after the seven-phase general elections kicks off

Vivekananda Oberoi-starrer PM Narendra Modi will release on April 12, a day after the seven-phase general elections kicks off in India in 2019. A biopic on incumbent Indian Prime Minister, the film has been shot in Ahmedabad, Kutch-Bhuj, Uttarakhand, and Mumbai. Directed by Omung Kumar, the film traverses the “journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Chief Minister of Gujarat onto his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the Prime Minister of India."

Announcing the release date, producer Sandip Ssingh said, "This is a very special film and a story that needs to be told. I hope this story of faith inspires the audiences. We are excited and happy to release the story of 1.3 billion people."

The supporting cast of PM Narendra Modi includes Darshan Kumaar, Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Anjan Shrivastav, Yatin Karyekar, Rajendra Gupta and Akshat R Saluja. The film is co-produced by Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit.
