We had earlier reported that filmmaker SS Rajamouli is working on his next multi-starrer, titled RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, following the success of the Baahubali franchise.

In the film's press meet yesterday, the Baahubali filmmaker revealed that Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Daisy Edgar Jones, and Samuthirakani will be part of the project. "Alia Bhatt will share screen space with Ram Charan, and Daisy will be playing jr NTR's pair. The story is fictional but inspired by facts. Ajay Devgn also will be seen in a powerful character. It will be a lifetime role for him."

He further added that RRR is a fictitious story based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan plays young Alluri Seetharamaraju, NTR portrays Komaram Bheem. "When I read about Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, it was exciting to know that their story is similar. They never met each other. What if they had met? What if they had inspired each other? That is what RRR is about. The entire story is based in the pre-independence era, and it is completely fictitious. The film is mounted on a very large scale. We had to do a lot of research to know their costumes, their dialect, their way of living and that is why it took so much time for us to get this together," said the filmmaker.

Talking about the pre-production of the film Rajamouli shared, “RRR will be a pan India film. It is a large scale movie just like Baahubali. There are decisions to be taken on the storyline, character build up and audience interest. As a filmmaker, I enjoy fantasy movies and believe in the warmth of storytelling which can make the audience forget about their daily life.”

Rajamouli also revealed that RRR will be the common title for all the languages, but each version will have a different expansion. "RRR will get a release on July 30, 2020 in Telugu Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. I leave the work of expanding the title to the fans," he said.
