Rajinikanth-AR Murugadoss project to be completely shot in Mumbai?

The pre-production of the much-awaited collaboration between Rajinikanth and director AR Murugadoss is going on in full swing. Meanwhile, the latest news from Thalaivar 166 is that the film, touted to be a cop movie, will be entirely shot in Mumbai. 

This will mark both Rajinikanth and Murugadoss' return to familiar territory, as both have shot extensively in the city for their movies. While the Superstar's Kaala was extensively shot in Mumbai, the Sarkar director has used the city as the backdrop not only for his Bollywood films, but also for the blockbuster Vijay-starrer Thuppaakki. 

It is rumoured that the filmmakers are in talks with Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh to essay important roles in this film. With Santosh Sivan helming the camera for a Rajinikanth film for the first time since Mani Ratnam's Thalapathy, and Anirudh Ravichander in-charge of the music, the film is expected to go on floors this month.
