Jyotika's first release for 2019, Raatchasi, sees the Mozhi actor play Geetha Rani, a government school teacher who questions the establishment.

It has now been revealed that one of the songs in the film's album, Nee En Nanbane, has been sung by Suriya and Karthi's sister, Brinda Sivakumar. The song has been penned by Yugabharathi. Prior to this, Brinda had sung the theme song of Mr Chandramouli, along with Sam CS, last year.

Raatchasi is helmed by debutant Gauthamraj and produced by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures. The film has music by Sean Roldan and cinematography by Monster-fame Gokul Benoy. The film, whose trailer and the first look were unveiled recently, is expected to be released soon.

Apart from Raatchasi, Jyotika also has the untitled Jeethu Joseph film, where she shares screen space with Karthi for the first time. She will next be seen alongside Revathy in the Kalyan directorial, Jackpot.
