Robert DeNiro and Leonardo DiCaprio will soon be seen together for the first time in a Martin Scorsese film. The duo has joined the cast of the director's Killers of the Flower Moon.

Adapted from a non-fiction book of the same name by David Grann, the film will be a crime drama about the FBI's investigation of murders on the territory of Osage Indian tribe in Oklahoma. Set during the 1920s, the case is now known as the FBI's first-ever homicide investigation and DeNiro is expected to play cattleman William Hale in the film.

DiCaprio and Scorsese will be working together for the sixth time in Killers of the Flower Moon, which will also be their first collaboration since 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street. DeNiro and Scorsese will be teaming up for the first time since 1995's Casino for the Netflix film The Irishman, which is expected to premiere later this year. DeNiro, meanwhile, has a supporting role in Todd Philips' Joker, headlined by Joaquin Phoenix, which premieres in October.

The production of Killers of the Flower Moon is expected to begin in early Spring 2020.
