Mehandi Circus audio launched

The audio of Mehandi Circus, directed by debutant Saravana Rajendran, was launched in the city today. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Masaan-fame Shweta Tripathi, who is paired opposite newcomer Madhampatty Rangaraj. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, the film's music is by Sean Roldan. The team of Mehandi Circus had invited veteran director Bhagyaraj and actor Sivakumar as chief guests for the event, alongside directors Mari Selvaraj, Lenin Bharathi, H Vinoth, Nalan Kumarasamy, Ezhil and Karu Palaniappan.

Mari Selvaraj opened the proceedings by remarking how Masaan was a film that disturbed him a lot, and yet Shweta Tripathi's smile was what haunted him more, and so he based the character Jo in Pariyerum Perumal on her character from Masaan. Director Saravana Rajendran later added to this by saying that Shweta was an important casting choice, and that she had proved her capability by not only living as the character Mehandi, but also dubbing for herself in the film.

Karu Palaniappan recounted a hilarious true story of Saravana Rajendran, while Yuga Bharathi recounted the friendship that existed between him and the director for close to two decades. Raju Murugan, the film's credited story and dialogue writer, and also the director's brother, said that every single film of his definitely had his brother's touch, and that Joker was actually co-directed by Saravana Rajendran. He also had high words of praise for cinematographer Selva Kumar SK, whom he had signed for his directorial Gypsy after seeing the first rush of Mehandi Circus.

Sean Roldan recounted how Bhagyaraj's Indru Poi Naalai Vaa was his go-to stress buster, and the legendary screenwriter thanked the composer for his kind words before adding that he was sure, based on the trailer, the film would be a successful one.
