Meena returns to Tamil cinema with Rajinikanth-Siva's Thalaivar 168

Meena has earlier starred opposite Rajinikanth in Yejaman, Veera and Muthu

As we had earlier speculated, Meena is indeed part of Rajinikanth's next, Thalaivar 168. It has been raining updates from the makers of the film, Sun Pictures, since last night.

Thalaivar 168, which marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth with director Siva, is the comeback vehicle for Meena, who returns to Tamil cinema after an eight-year break. She was last seen in the 2011 film, Thambikottai.

Meena has earlier starred opposite Rajinikanth in Yejaman, Veera and Muthu. Though she was also part of Rajinikanth's Kuselan, Meena wasn't paired opposite him. As a child artiste, Meena has shared screenspace with Rajinikanth in Anbulla Rajinikanth and Engeyo Kaetta Kural.

It was announced yesterday that Keerthy Suresh and Prakash Raj were part of Thalaiavar 168, which has D Imman composing music for a Rajinikanth film for the first time. Thalaiavar 168 also has Soori as part of the cast.

Thalaivar 168 is the third Rajinikanth film, after Enthiran and Petta, that is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. More details about the rest of the cast and crew are expected soon.
