Veteran comedian has sent a legal notice to the team of Vaibhav's Sixer asking them to remove the scenes in the film featuring his photos and dialogues from the 1991 film, Chinna Thambi.

In the legal notice, it has been mentioned that Goundamani recently spotted that director Chachi has used the former's references in the film through the new sneak peek. The featurette shows Vaibhav's character as the grandson of Goundamani's Cook Kandhasamy character in Chinna Thambi. Vaibhav points at Goundamani's photo in the sneak peek and says, "Thatha dei! Sirappa pannita da. Rathri laam enna akkramam panniyo, enaku aaru maniku mela kannu theriyama pochu da!

Goundamani's advocate Sasikumar has stated in the notice that the team of Sixer has not got any form of permission from him to use the actor's dialogues or photos, and the above-mentioned dialogues are highly derogatory. He ended the statement warning that they would be forced to file a defamation complaint unless a public apology is issued and the dialogues and photos referring to the actor removed from the film.
