Vijay’s next film after Bigil, Thalapathy 64, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, will have its cinematography handled by Sathyan Sooryan.

Sathyan, who has worked in films like Yuddham Sei, Mugamoodi, Maya, Adanga Maru, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, is currently shooting Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kaithi, which is expected to get a release next month.

The editing, stunt direction, and the art direction of Thalapathy 64 will be handled by Philomin Raj, ‘Stunt’ Silva and Satheesh Kumar, respectively. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised.

Names like Raashi Khanna, Kabir Singh-fame Kiara Advani, and Rashmika Mandanna are being speculated to be playing the female lead in the film, which will be produced by Xavier Britto.

Rumours are also rife that Angamaly Diaries-fame Antony Varghese had been roped in to play a pivotal role with negative shades in the film. Arjun's name has also been making the rounds with reference to the film's antagonist.

The announcement poster, which was revealed today, shows a silhouette of a man sporting a hoodie walking afar in an alley. We can infer that the mystery man is none other than Vijay and the tone of the film will be a dark one, in contrast to other recent entertainers of the actor.

It may be noted that several sources state that the project will be a completely new attempt for the actor and it will be a genre-centric film.

Vijay's next release Bigil, directed by Atlee, will hit the screens during Diwali weekend.
