The third season of Bigg Boss Tamil show, hosted by Kamal Haasan, turned ugly last week with the forced eviction of one of the contestants Madhumitha, as she had inflicted self-harm by slashing her wrist. She had reportedly taken a controversial stance on the Cauvery water issue, which had lead to the other housemates ganging up against her.

The Saturday episode had a voiceover announcing that Madhumitha had harmed herself to prove a point, and as it was against the rules of the show, she was being eliminated.

Recently, rumours were rife that Vijay Tv has filed a case against Madhumitha in Guindy police station, stating that the actor-comedian was harassing the channel asking to be paid compensation. The complaint was said to specify that Vijay TV had already paid 11,50,000 as per her agreement, and it was discussed with her that the payment for her 42 day-stay will also be settled soon.

However, when we reached out to the channel, a company representative made it clear that no such case has been registered against any of the contestants. He also added that Madhumitha will be paid her dues as per the clauses of their agreement.

Following Abirani's elimination, only eight out of the original 16 contestants now remain in the house. It is being suggested that there are to be more wild card entries to spice up the proceedings.

The current season of Bigg Boss Tamil started airing on June 23. Fathima Babu, Mohan Vaidya, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Meera Mithun, Reshma Pasupuleti, Saravanan, Sakshi, and Madhumitha have been eliminated from the house so far.
