It has been raining updates about Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming projects. Close on the heels of the announcement of the release date of PS Mithran's Hero, the title of SK 16, his Sun Pictures project with Pandiraj was announced today.

Titled Namma Veettu Pillai, the rural entertainer, also starring Bharathiraja and Aishwarya Rajessh in important roles, is expected to hit the screens in September

With music by D Imman, Namma Veettu Pillai also stars Anu Emmanuel, Natarajan Subramaniam, RK Suresh, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, and Soori. Incidentally, earlier reports suggested that the film was titled Enga Veettu Pillai, which was the name of the iconic 1965 MGR film.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan's Hero, produced by KJR Studios, also stars Arjun, Abhay Deol, and Kalyani Priyadarshan. Hero marks the first time Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for a Sivakarthikeyan film.

Apart from Hero and Namma Veettu Pillai, which are set for release this year, Sivakarthikeyan also has films with Ravikumar and Vignesh Shivan in various stages of production.
