National Award winner Joju George now a part of Dhanush's film with Karthik Subbaraj 

The film, which was officially announced earlier this year, will be a gangster-thriller set entirely in the UK

Malayalam actor Joju George, who was awarded a special mention in the 66th National Film Awards today for his role in Joseph, is said to be a playing a major role in Dhanush's next film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. This film, which will mark Joju's debut in Tamil cinema, was officially announced earlier this year. It will be a gangster-thriller set entirely in the United Kingdom.

We had earlier reported that Malayalam actor Aishwarya Lekshmi had been cast opposite Dhanush in the film, which has music by Santhosh Narayanan. With Vivek Harshan in charge of editing, and Shreyas Krishna handling the cinematography, the yet-to-be-titled project is written by Karthik himself. Produced by S Sashikanth of YNot Studios, the film is expected to go on floors this month.

Meanwhile, Joju George, who was last seen in the critically-acclaimed Malayalam film Virus, is awaiting the release of Porinju Mariam Jose, which stars him in the lead alongside Nyla Usha and Chemban Vinod Jose.
