Anukreethy Vas, winner of Miss India World 2018, will be making her film debut opposite Prashanth in his next film. Touted to be a 'family-orinted action film', it will be directed by Venkatesh, who had earlier directed the Johnny actor in the 2001 film, Chocolate

Interestingly, this marks Prashanth's fourth film where he has worked with a former pageant winner in their respective film debuts. Starting from Aishwarya Rai in Jeans, he has since worked with Isha Koppikar in Kadhal Kavidhai, Pooja Chopra and Divya Parameshwaran in Ponnar Shankar. The film will be produced by Prashanth's father, Thiagarajan.

Director Venkatesh said that Prashanth will portray a character who takes on local politicians involved in illegal activities. On Anukreethy's character, he said it was a fabulous one and that he wanted a pretty girl, "someone who had a title like Miss India, and we are glad to have got her. She will be introduced as Miss India in the title credits."

The director also revealed that the film will star Bhumika Chawla, who will play Prashanth's sister in the film, and their relationship apparently forms the fulcrum of the story. Prakashraj plays the main villain, and Nasser will appear in an important role.

Uma Iyer and Naren have been roped in to play Anukreethy's parents, while Jayasudha will play Prashanth's mother. Yogi Babu and Robo Shankar round up the rest of the cast.

The film goes on floors today and the shoot will go on till June in Chennai, Hyderabad, Tenkasi and Tuticorin, with the songs scheduled to be shot in New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong.
