Malayalam version of Kurukshetra to be released on October 18

Kurukshetra, which has been running successfully across Karnataka for almost 75 days now, is set for release in Kerala this week. Both the 2D and 3D Malayalam versions of Darshan’s 50th film, produced by Munirathna and directed by Nagannda, will be released this Friday, in more than 100 theatres across the state.

While the Tamil and Telugu versions of the mythological film have already hit the screens, the Hindi version is also expected to be released soon.

Based on the poem Gadhayuddha by Ranna, Kurukshetra is the story of Mahabharata from Duryodhana's point of view. Starring Darshan as the Kaurava king, and Arjun as Karna, Kurukshetra featured an ensemble cast, that includes actors like Ambareesh, V Ravichandran, Sneha, Megha Raj, and Hariprriya.

V Harikrishna composed the music for Kurukshetra, and the lyrics were written by Nagendra Prasad.
