Nikhil-starrer Karthikeya 2 to go on floors in June

Karthikeya 2, the sequel to actor Nikhil's 2014 mystery thriller Karthikeya, will start rolling in June, say the makers. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film reunites Nikhil with Swathi Reddy and other cast members from the first instalment.

Set in the backdrop of Kumbh Mela, the sequel will pick up from where the first part ended. The team is planning to shoot the film in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and other parts of India.

Nikhil will apparently sport a six-pack, lean, and brawny look in this sequel that is also expected to get a release in Hindi and Malayalam.

Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Karthikeya 2 will also have another female lead besides Swathi. The makers are currently on the lookout for an actor to play this role.
