Sivakarthikeyan's next for Sun Pictures to be directed by Pandiraj

Sivakarthikeyan, who is awaiting the release of his romcom, Mr Local on May 1, has signed a film with Sun Pictures, to be directed by Pandiraj. Interestingly, Pandiraj was the one who introduced the actor as a hero in his 2012 film, Marina. The new film, tentatively referred to as SK 16, is expected to hit the screens on the occasion of Pongal 2020. Other details regarding the genre, cast and crew are yet to be revealed.

Sivakarthikeyan, meanwhile, has recently resumed shooting for director R Ravikumar's ambitious alien sci-fi project, co-starring Rakul Preet. He also has a yet-to-be-titled film with director Mithran in the pipeline. Meanwhile, the Seema Raja- actor's second production venture, directed by Black Sheep YouTube channel-fame Karthik Venugopalan, and starring TV actor, Rio Raj, recently entered post-production. Sun Pictures, which bankrolled Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta, will produce Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana 3, in addition to SK 16.
